Young Artist Classes

Our morning classes are specially designed for your 15-month- to 4-year-old artists! Classes meet daily from 9:30am to 11:00am, and you can sign up for one class or join us for more. We follow a consistent class schedule, while the themes change weekly to keep our artists engaged, excited, and ready to create!

  • Mondays: Art & Movement: Perfect for our youngest artists! This class combines 45 minutes of sensory play with 45 minutes of movement led by My Gym. It’s the perfect way to start the week!

  • Tuesdays: Stories, Art & Sensory Play: Our youngest artists learn through play—and there’s no play quite like sensory play! Expect full-on exploration, a little bit of mess, and lots of fun as we pair stories and art with hands-on sensory experiences.

  • Wednesdays: Art & Music: Is your child more of a music fan? Join us with Ms. Sarah for a rocking combination of music and art!

  • Thursdays: Art Exploration: Designed for our 2.5- to 4-year-old artists, this class combines the sensory play they love with an art project inspired by a favorite book. It’s a wonderful opportunity for young artists to explore materials, process, and creativity at their own pace.

  • Fridays: Preschool Playgroup: Ms. Emily is back! Preschool Playgroup offers a fun preview of a day at preschool, complete with storytime, songs and games, and lots of art. A playful way to build confidence, independence, and classroom-ready skills—all while having fun!

 

Preschool Classes

Our early afternoon classes offer the perfect drop-off environment for our 3.5- to 6-year-old artists to begin exploring art stations and projects independently. Caregivers are always welcome, but our stations and projects are intentionally designed to be child-led, encouraging young artists to make choices, explore materials, and let their creativity shine.

We follow a consistent schedule while changing up the themes and projects each week, giving artists the comfort of a familiar routine with something new to discover every time. It’s the perfect opportunity for preschool artists to build confidence, independence, and a love of creating through open-ended art exploration!

  • NEW THIS FALL: Tuesdays, 1:00pm to 2:00pm: STEAM-inspired Art: Where creativity meets curiosity! Preschool artists will experiment, build, invent, and create through hands-on art projects inspired by science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Think printmaking with legos, color changing slime experiments, and much more!

  • Wednesdays, 1:00pm to 2:00pm: Preschool Art: In this class, we explore different artists and techniques with a very open-ended approach, teaching your preschooler through experimentation. The typical class includes sensory stations, opening activities, a story time, and a main project all related to the day’s theme.

  • Fridays, 1:30pm to 2:30pm: Mini Makers Lab: Join us in our Mini Maker’s Lab, where little hands explore big ideas! Designed especially for preschoolers, this fun and engaging art class invites young creators to unleash their imaginations and discover the joy of making art through play. Each week, our young artists are given a variety of materials to explore. Projects for the Fall are brand new!

 

After-School Classes

Our after-school classes are the perfect creative enrichment for school-aged artists! With a wide variety of offerings, there’s something for every child and every interest. At Red Panda, art can be anything—and our classes are all about building confidence, trying new ideas, exploring creativity, and, most of all, having fun! Our art room is the place to be after school!

  • Mondays OR Fridays: Art Club, 4pm to 5:15pm: Our art club class takes a hands-on approach to art history! Each class focuses on introducing different artists, art materials, and techniques. Join us this Fall for a whole new selection of projects! Designed for artists ages 4 to 9.

  • Mondays, 5:30pm to 6:45pm: Advanced Art Exploration: Is your 9- to 12-year-old artist ready to take their creativity to the next level? In a supportive, open-ended environment, students will explore a variety of materials while building skills in painting and drawing. Perfect for artists who love to take projects in their own direction, this class encourages experimentation, creative problem-solving, and plenty of room to make each project their own!

  • Tuesdays OR Thursdays: Crafty Club, 4pm to 5pm: Let’s get crafty! This after school offering is designed to introduce artists to a variety of handicrafts! Each week, artists explore a new crafty medium: stitching, collaging, weaving, embellishing, and much more!

  • Tuesdays: Adventures in Drawing and Painting, 4pm to 5pm: Ready to embark on an artistic adventure on Tuesday afternoons? Join us for a class that introduces the basics of drawing and painting, designed especially for young artists ages 2 to 6! Each week, students explore a new theme and medium through a variety of open-ended projects. This class is held at the Little House at Westmoreland Hills Park!

  • Tuesdays, 5:15pm to 6:30pm: Open Studio Creations: Come enjoy open studio time! Each week brings a new theme and a wide variety of materials—just add your creativity. Perfect for artists who love a flexible, go-with-the-flow atmosphere, this class is all about exploring, experimenting, and making art your own. Because when it comes to art, there are no rules!

  • Wednesdays: Artful Adventures, 4pm to 5pm: Does your 4- to 9-year-old artist enjoy a little more guidance? This class is the perfect introduction to the fundamentals of art! Artists will explore drawing, oil pastels, and watercolor through engaging, guided projects designed to build skills, confidence, and creativity.

  • Wednesdays: Nature and Art, 4pm to 5pm: Nature is the inspiration for this afternoon class designed for 3- to 7-year-old artists! Each week, we’ll explore a new nature-inspired theme through a mix of sensory play, storytime, art, and a nature walk. This class is held at the Little House at Westmoreland Hills Park!

  • Wednesdays: Advanced Drawing and Painting, 5:15pm to 6:30pm: Does your 9- to 12-year-old artist take their creativity seriously? Are they excited to grow their skills in a supportive, exploratory environment? Then this is the class for them! We’ll blend structured learning with plenty of room for personal expression, giving students the opportunity to dive deeper into their own ideas while building a strong foundation in essential art principles and techniques.

  • Thursdays: Advanced Crafty Club, 5:15pm to 6:30pm: This is the place for your 9- to 14-year-old artist to be! Welcome to our art room, where each week offers a simple invitation to create, along with open access to a wide variety of materials. Our invitations are designed with our older artists in mind, incorporating current trends, encouraging experimentation, and inspiring new ideas. Most of all, our art room is a place to create, connect, and enjoy a little craft-room camaraderie!
